Magazine Institution
The institution I have chosen to do is the institution behind VIBE magazine which is InterMedia Partners.
InterMedia was founded in 1988 by Leo Hindery Jr. InterMedia has invested in cable television, broadcast television, print, programming, and broadband, they are behind Thomas Nelson, Universal Sports, @Home Network, InterMedia Outdoors, VIBE Lifestyle Network, and Puerto Rican station WAPA-TV.
InterMedia is an american company with all of their networks being mainly based in America.The new Vibe is the premier destination for, hip-hop, urban music, entertainment, culture and lifestyle for the aspirational 18-34 year old. With this being the main target audience for VIBE which is the only music magazine InterMedia Partners publish I would choose InterMedia Partners to publish my magazine as for my magazine I would like to do a hip-hop/urban magazine.

Vibe Magazine
VIBE magazine oowed its achievment to featuring a broader range of interests than its closest competitors The Surce and XXL which focus more narrowly on rap music, or the rock & pop-centric Rolling Stone and Spin. As of 2007, Vibe had a population of approximately 800,000. Advertisers ran the scale from record labels to fashion houses to various Cognac brands.

target audience of our magazine
the age range for the magazine would be 16-22, other R&B magazines that the audience may like is VIBE magazine (american magazine), other magazines such as FLAVOUR which is a british R&B magazine. the target audience for this genre of music is a majority of white fans but has a bigger proportion of black people who are interested in the genre. FLAVOUR mgazine is more for ages 16-24, readership 67% female and 33% male,

1) Make sure that we take the picture in a plain light coloured room and a plain wall. This will make the picture look professional. We will shoot it in the football centre Goals, we felt that the goals football centre was the best place inwhich we should take our photos.
2) We have chosen this location because there is a plain black wall where we can take our picture,we felt that the goals football centre was the best place inwhich we should take our photos, we felt that the large black buildingant we could capture an image that would stand out form the black.
3) The lighting issues could be a problem because it could either be to light or too dark. Also, there could be a lot of people about when we shoot it so this could be a problem too. But other places ihe college such as the refectory and otheir walls are either dull colours or bricks, we flet a plain black background would look more appealing to the type of magazine, focusing on just the imnages on the front cover and make the bold bright text stand out.

i found this contents page really enspiring for my magazine. i like how the text contrasts well with the background, as well as the black and white image effect. also, there isn't too little information on it and there isn't too much. i have tried to take all of these ideas into consideration when creating my magazine.
